“Super Legal, Super Safe”
At first glance, the Cycrown Cycrun looks like it wants to start trouble. With its cafe-racer frame, chunky tires, and full suspension setup, you’d think it was another “moped-style monster” built for top speed runs and wheelies.
But here’s the twist — it’s not.
This might just be the most legal, polite e-bikes on the market. And honestly, that’s both its biggest strength and its biggest limitation.

First Impressions
Visually, the Cycrun nails it. The white and brown color combo feels premium and stands out from the endless sea of matte-black bikes. The vintage café racer-inspired frame gives it attitude, while still being approachable and friendly.
It’s well built, too. Cycrown consistently delivers solid fit and finish, and this bike is no exception. The welds are clean, the paint is crisp, and everything feels dialed in right out of the box.
You get:
- 20×4″ Chaoyang fat tires
- Full suspension (coil front & rear)
- Cable disc brakes
- Integrated headlight, taillight, and turn signals
- A basic but reliable display and half-twist throttle
The seat is thick — maybe too thick — and the bike has a tall standover height. At 5’9”, I could flat-foot it by leaning slightly, but shorter riders may need to tilt off to one side at stops

Performance and Power Delivery
Underneath all that style, the Cycrun runs a modest setup:
- 750W rear hub motor
- 36V 10.4Ah battery
- Top speed: 20 mph (locked)
That’s right — it’s a true Class 2 e-bike, capped at 20 mph on throttle and pedal assist. No hidden menu unlocks, no speed hacks. You can ghost pedal all you want — 20 mph is all you’re getting.
Acceleration is slow and smooth. The throttle “asks for permission” before getting you moving, and that’s by design. It’s meant to be safe, predictable, and accessible — great for beginners, kids, or anyone nervous about high-powered e-bikes.
But for experienced riders, it feels underpowered for the price. A 36V 10Ah battery in 2025 feels dated, especially when plenty of $700 bikes now ship with 48V systems and larger packs
Ride Quality
Despite the tame power, the ride quality is genuinely good. The rear coil shock is a softer 650-lb spring, so it doesn’t beat you up like the 800–1000 lb springs on faster moped-style e-bikes. Combine that with the cushy seat, and you’ve got a comfortable cruiser for paths, light trails, or just running errands.
Off-road, the Cycrun surprises you. It’s not fast, but it’s composed. It handles grassy trails and uneven dirt just fine, especially because you’re rarely going fast enough to get into real trouble.
Cable brakes feel adequate for the speeds this bike can hit — you’re not stopping from 35 mph here, so they do the job just fine. Steering feels planted, and there’s very little rattling or vibration, even at full throttle.
Pros
- Safe and approachable
- Legal everywhere (true Class 2)
- Smooth ride with soft suspension
- Great build quality and fit & finish
- Unique color options
Cons
- 36V 10Ah system is weak for the price
- 20 mph limit feels sluggish
- Only one gear (single-speed drivetrain)
- Battery range falls short of claims
- Not ideal for performance-focused riders

Verdict: A “Super Legal” Cruiser With Great Looks but Modest Power
The Cycrown Cycrun isn’t trying to be the fastest e-bike. It’s built to be safe, approachable, and compliant — a bike you can hand to your teenager or your parent and not worry about a speeding ticket.
At around $699, though, it sits in a competitive range where many brands offer 48V batteries and more pep. If you find this on sale or bundled with the dual battery, it’s a solid buy. But at full price, it feels a little behind the curve.
Still, as a first e-bike or family-friendly cruiser, the Cycrun gets a lot right: comfort, quality, and peace of mind — all with that classic moped look that makes you feel cooler than your speedometer says you are.
