Tuttio Soleil01 Review: The Budget Electric Dirt Bike That (Eventually) Delivers

The Hype Wasn’t Real (At first..)

Let’s be honest—when a product floods YouTube and TikTok with glowing reviews, skepticism is healthy. The Tuttio Soleil01 is one of those budget electric dirt bikes that seems too good to be true. And in my case, it was—at first.

I instantly knew I had to get it on the channel and check it out my self. Fast forward a few months, and I finally pulled the trigger and got it.

I was super excited to put it together and take it out once I got it, but to my disappointment it ended up being completely dead.

I’ve owned dozens of e-bikes and NEVER had an issue with any battery, but unfortunately this time I had gotten unlucky. After playing amateur electrician and testing the battery with my multimeter, it showed 0 volts. It was totally dead!

This started a weeks long process of going back and forth with their customer service, and even getting ghosted for a week.

Eventually though, they shipped a new battery and after almost 2 months, I could finally get the Soleil01 out for my self and see what the hype was about!

Customer Service: A Test of Patience

Getting support from Tuttio was like pulling teeth—slow, painful, and occasionally met with radio silence. After weeks of back-and-forth (and a strongly worded video review), they finally shipped a new battery. Pro tip: Buy this bike on Amazon for better buyer protection. Trust me, your future self will thank you.

The Ride: Where the Magic Happens

Once the Soleil01 actually worked, it was an absolute riot! This little e-moto tears up off-road trails with ease thanks to its knobby tires. With a quick tune (thanks, internet tutorials), it hits 40 mph—wild for a 48V bike. The torque? Chef’s kiss. The suspension? Overkill in the best way. And those knobby tires? They laugh at mud, roots, and your neighbor’s perfectly manicured lawn.

Pros:

  • Stupid fun off-road—way more capable than hub-motor e-bikes.
  • Upgrade-friendly—swap in a 72V kit later for insane speed.
  • Suspension and brakes are shockingly good for the price.

Cons:

  • Battery QC issues (mine arrived as a brick).
  • Customer service moves at the speed of snail mail.
  • No headlight—because who needs to see at night, right?

Who’s It For?

  • Beginners/kids: A killer intro to dirt bikes without the gas-guzzling drama.
  • Tinkerers: Easy to mod, and the frame can handle bigger upgrades.
  • Budget riders: At ~$1,100 (pre-tariff), it’s a steal—if you get a working one.

Final Verdict: Worth the Hassle?

The Tuttio Soleil01 is like a scrappy underdog in a sports movie—rocky start, triumphant finish. Despite the early headaches, it’s one of the most fun electric dirt bikes under $1,500. Just buy it from Amazon, pray for a functional battery, and prepare to grin like an idiot on every ride.

Rating: 8.5/10 (Docked a point for the customer service circus.)
