Victrip R6 Review: Pint Sized Bike, Full Sized Thrills

A Shrunken Moped with Style

When I first saw a picture of the Victrip R6, I thought “wow, cool looking bike, but whats the difference between this and every other moped style e-bike?”

I leaned in closer and read “16×4 inch wheels”, and from that moment I was interested! I had never seen a 16 inch e-bike like this before and was excited to check it out.

Besides the small size, the R6’s standout feature is the unique paint options. I opted for the orange, but they also have black, white, and pink available. The orange paint on my example is seriously beautiful!

The Victrip’s small size isn’t just a novelty, its designed for smaller riders and kids, a section of the market that in my opinion has been under served in the e-bike space.

So is the cool paint and small size all the Victrip R6 has going for it? Lets find out!

The Ride: Fun, Compact, But Not for Everyone

1. The Good: Why This Bike Shines (Literally)

✅ Stunning Design – That pearlescent orange paint is one of the best I’ve seen on an e-bike. Paired with a brown leather-style seat, it’s a head-turner.

✅ Turn Signals & Safety Features – Rare at this price! Front/rear signals, a loud horn, and brake lights make it street-friendly.

✅ Easy to Handle – The small wheels and low weight make it super maneuverable, perfect for cruising neighborhoods.

✅ Full-Twist Throttle – No pedal effort needed—just twist and go. (Though pedaling is awkward—more on that later.)

Riding Experience:

The R6 is a smaller bike, so ideally this bike is for smaller adults and children. I found the riding position to be comfortable for short to medium trips, but after a while the seat and riding position were a bit uncomfortable.

Suspension: The R6 comes with full suspension, which is very nice to see at it’s price tag of $799. I found the rear spring to be a bit bouncy, but it was nice to have as it ironed out the bumps in the road.

Brakes: The brakes are mechanical (cable) brakes, and usually I am a snob for hydraulic brakes, since they have less maintenance and better stopping power for the higher speeds e-bikes are capable of. But on the R6 I didn’t miss them, it actually has very good cable brakes – some of the best I’ve tested.

Features: The R6 has a good amount of features for it’s price. Full twist throttle, turn signals front and rear, nice display, full suspension, beautiful paint, and even a security system!

2. The Not-So-Good: Where It Falls Short

❌ Awkward for Taller Riders – At 5’9″, I felt like a bear on a tricycle. Pedaling is not ideal for adults.

❌ Annoying Security System – Unlocking requires a key fob (hit “unlock” to lock—confusing, right?). Just give me a power button!

The riding experience on the R6 was nice, but i felt like I was riding a kids toy more than an e-bike for adults. That’s to say, I didn’t fit on it very well. Pedaling for me was awkward, and even riding my knees were fatigued.

But I think this makes it perfect for kids and smaller riders, so don’t let that stop you considering it for your kids!

My other gripes with the bike were the security system and lack of buttons to control the screen.

Who’s It For?

✔ Kids (10+) – Safe, manageable speed, and fun styling.
✔ Short Adults (Under 5’6″) – If you’re petite, this could be a blast.
✔ City Commuters – Great for short trips (if you don’t need pedaling).

Not For:
❌ Tall riders – You’ll look (and feel) ridiculous pedaling.
❌ Off-roaders – The suspension is too stiff for trails.
❌ Long-distance riders – The small battery limits range.

Final Verdict: A Fun Mini Moped

The Victrip R6 is a love letter to compact e-bikes, with gorgeous paintclever features, and easy handling. But its tiny batteryawkward pedaling, and niche sizing mean it’s not for everyone.

⭐ Great for kids & short riders
⭐ Stunning design
⭐ Surprising features (turn signals!)
🚫 Limited range & tall-rider discomfort
