The Hikeep K6-G is a bike that we tested a while ago, and we adored it. It’s basically everything you could want for its $899 price point; Good style, good performance, and features that only bikes 2-3x its price may have, like one piece wheels, and full suspension.
However, in that review I said that I wish it had a dual motor variant. I didn’t know it when filming, but HiKeep does make a dual motor version of that bike, called the HiKeep K6-T!
And, for the most part, it includes all of the upgrades I would have liked to see from the K6-G! Dual 1500watt motors, bigger battery, and hydraulic brakes are some that come to mind.
While the K6-G is an awesome value for money at $899, the K6-T comes in at $400 more, which for the upgrades (An entire extra motor plus 10ah bigger battery, hydraulic brakes) is actually a steal!
So the K6-G was a hit, can the K6-T replicate it’s success? Let’s find out!

First Impressions: The K6-G’s Buffed-Up Sibling
At first glance, the K6-T looks identical to its single-motor brother—same cafe-racer styling, same knobby tires, same “I’m cooler than your average e-bike” vibe. But peek closer, and the upgrades shine:
- Dual 1500W motors (double the fun, double the torque)
- 25Ah battery (vs. the K6-G’s smaller 15ah pack)
- Hydraulic brakes
- Color display with real-time stats
HiKeep K6-T vs. K6-G: Key Differences
Feature | K6-T (Dual Motor) | K6-G (Single Motor) |
---|---|---|
Motors | Dual 1500W (front + rear) | Single 1500W (rear) |
Battery | 48V 25Ah | 48V 15.6Ah(smaller capacity) |
Brakes | Hydraulic (DY Island) | Mechanical (cable) |
Display | Color LCD w/ voltage, amps | Basic screen |
Top Speed | 29 mph (limited) | ~25 mph |
Price | ~$1,300 | ~$900 |
Verdict: The K6-T is the K6-G on steroids—faster, smoother, and even more fun off-road!
The Ride: Double the Motors, Double the Grins
1. Power Delivery
The K6-T’s dual motors don’t just add raw power—they balance it. Unlike some dual-motor bikes that jerk you around, this one gradually engages the front motor, making acceleration feel natural (not terrifying).
- 0-20 mph? Just over 4 seconds
- Hill climbs? Handles hills with ease.
- Off-road traction? Good thanks to its knobby tires.
2. Battery Life: Go Farther, Worry Less
The 25Ah battery is a game-changer. Even hammering throttle-only rides, I got ~30 miles—plenty for commutes or trail adventures.
Pro tip: Ignore the comically inaccurate battery gauge (it claimed “100%” at 49V). Trust the voltage readout instead.
3. Upgraded Perks
- Hydraulic brakes: Stronger stopping power (though DY Island’s aren’t premium).
- Turn signals: Rare at this price—great for road legality.
- USB-C port: Charge your phone mid-ride.
Limited Top Speed
Most bikes have a hidden settings menu where you can unlock the top speed, and the K6-T is no exception.
But even with the top speed seemingly unlocked, I couldn’t get it past 29mph.
A bike with these specs should easily be able to push 32mph plus, so if it isn’t a software limit, it may be a limit of the controller. I will look into it more, but it’s a bummer that you cant get past 29mph. The upside is you will get to the top speed quickly with its dual motors and torque.
Who’s It For?
✔ Thrill-seekers who want budget-friendly torque.
✔ Commute warriors needing 30+ miles of range.
✔ Upgraders from the K6-G (it’s worth the $400 jump).
Not for:
❌ Buyers who want to pedal
❌ Cargo haulers (no rack mounts).
Final Verdict: The K6-G’s Worthy Successor
The HiKeep K6-T fixes nearly every gripe I had with the K6-G:
✅ More power (dual motors = no weak climbs).
✅ Better brakes (hydraulics > cables).
✅ Longer range (25Ah battery).
It’s not perfect—the seat’s firm, the battery meter lies, and the frame’s not cargo-friendly—but for $1,300, it’s a steal.
Rating: 8.5/10
