Aipas S1 AMP Review — A 60V, 50Mph E-Moto For Less (A Lot Less)

How do they make it so affordable?

It wasn’t long ago that we were swooning over the tiny little affordable pit bikes. They were cheap, quick enough, and really could perform off road.

Now in 2026 however, a new breed enters the market. It looks a lot like the 48V pit bikes of yesteryear, but underneath the surface there’s more than meets the eye…

Today we take a look at the new Aipas S1 AMP, one of the new 60V mini E-Motos that is taking the market by storm in 2026. And best of all, they claim a top speed of 50mph thanks to the 4.5kW motor.

Oh and did I mention it costs LESS that its 48V competition? Let’s dig in and see if the 60V hype is real.

First Impressions

The S1 Amp follows the familiar dimensions of the 48V pit bikes we’ve come to know. It has a staggered 14,12″ wheel setup, and a standover height well below my hips (I’m 5’9 31″ inseam).

It’s certainly a bike that is meant for kids, but it’s serious performance means its no toy–and reasonably sized adults can enjoy it too.

On one of my first twists of the throttle, you can see in the video review that I popped an accidental wheelie. I genuinely wasn’t expecting it, and it reminded me that this was a step above the 48V pit bikes I was used to.

It’s easy to accidentally twist the throttle a bit too far, or wash out the back wheel when exiting a turn. Inexperienced riders may want to start off on a lower power level.

But all of that means FUN, once you get the bike assembled and out of the first ride, you won’t want to stop!

Design, Features, and Build

Visually, the S1 AMP fits the current mini e-moto trend (another orange/black pit bike), but it’s surprisingly well-equipped for the price. You get:

  • Dual-crown moto-style fork up front
  • Rear suspension that soaks bumps well off-road
  • Headlight + taillight + brake light, which is rare this cheap
  • Rear-only turn signals (nice bonus, but front signals would’ve been nice too)
  • A loud horn (actually useful around paths/streets)

It also has a removable battery, but it’s not quick-release—you have to remove bolts to remove the battery.

Real-World Performance

Acceleration and torque

Acceleration is strong, it’s eager to lift that front tire off the line. I was able to get a sub 3 second 0-20mph in my testing, which is easily 2-3x as quick as most hub motor E-Bikes.

Mode 1/2 tame it slightly, but even in the lower modes it still tries to pop the front. Mode 3 gives you full beans.

Top speed

Aipas claims 50 mph. In my run, the display read higher than reality, and GPS was lower— real-world results landed closer to ~46 mph GPS with the display showing numbers into the 50s. With a longer run-up, it might go a bit faster. Plus the ambient temp was in the high 40’s that day, and the cold affects battery output.

Braking

The brakes grip really hard, they are dual piston hydraulic in the front, and single in the rear. They are moto style brakes with DOT fluid for plenty of stopping power and confidence.

Accessories And Features

Most E-motos around the $1000 price point offer good value for performance, but skip out on the nice-to-haves like headlight, turn signals, horn etc…

Not this bike though. They’ve somehow managed to not only give you more performance, but also more accessories too.

The Aipas comes equipped with a bright headlight, taillight with turn signals and brake light, and an easy to read color display. These quality of life features make the S1 Amp easier to live with day to day.

.

Pros

  • Ridiculous value for a 60V mid-drive mini e-moto under $1,100
  • Strong torque and mid-range pull
  • Suspension works very well off-road
  • Real DOT hydraulic brakes that feel confidence-inspiring
  • Comes surprisingly well-equipped: headlight, taillight, brake light, signals, horn

Cons

  • The seat is uncomfortably firm (biggest weakness)
  • Small wheels + knobbies = less stable at high speed
  • Slow 2A charger
  • Battery removal isn’t quick-release (bolted in)

Off-Road Ride Quality

This is where the S1 AMP shines. The suspension feels like real dirt-bike suspension, and the rear shock absorbs the rough stuff well. It handled mud, hills, bumps, and general trails confidently.

Range and Battery Sag

A 60V system is awesome for performance, but I noticed voltage sag when pushing hard—especially at higher speeds. 28Ah isn’t huge for 60V, so the “60-mile claim” would only be possible at slower cruising speeds—not ripping at 40–50 mph.

You could reasonably expect around 25- 30 miles if riding quickly, but not full throttle the whole time

And the included 2A charger is slow—one of the obvious cost-cutting choices.

The Two Biggest Downsides

1) The seat is uncomfortable

As I stated in the video review, after about 4 miles I was starting to get a bit uncomfortable on the seat. By the end of my ~15 mile ride, I was ready to get off. I’m sure you can buy a different, more comfortable seat, but as far as the one out of the box, it’s not great for long rides.

2) High-speed stability

At speed it doesn’t feel super stable—small wheels, knobbies, and its a relatively light bike. It’s fast, but it’s not a 50 mph commuter cruiser. I didn’t feel like i was in danger, but it wasn’t confidence inspiring at high speeds.

Final Verdict

It wasn’t long ago that we were praising the 48V pit bikes for being a great value, and a fun platform for mods. Now that same formula has gotten even better with the new 60V generation that is popping up in 2026.

I think that the Aipas S1 Amp is a fantastic little E-moto. It’s hard to say anything bad about it, especially when the price is under $1100. I do have to criticize it for it’s relatively uncomfortable seat, but when you consider the price, and performance, I can forgive it.

If you were thinking about pulling the trigger on a Tuttio or similar pit bike, take a serious look at the Aipas. You get the same form factor as the tuttio, with a big power difference–and you get the added bonus of headlight, taillight, turn signals, a horn, all things the tuttio doesn’t have. For Cheaper.

In the best way possible, i’m confused by the price points of these bikes. More performance, and better equipped, for less money? I think the Aipas is a no brainer.
