Finally, Something Different
The Tasaca T500-V58 is one of the most impressive budget electric dirt bikes I’ve tested. It combines a 5500W peak mid-drive motor, a 52V 30Ah battery, strong hydraulic brakes, full suspension, and a GPS-tested top speed of just over 52 mph.
Overview
Is this the budget e-moto killer everyone has been waiting for?
The Tasaca T500-V58 lands in one of the most competitive parts of the electric dirt bike market. Around this price, there are already bikes from Tuttio, Yozma, LEONX, QRONGE, and several other companies all fighting to become the default mini e-moto.
At first, the T500-V58 does not sound dramatically different. It has small 14-inch front and 12-inch rear wheels, a compact pit-bike frame, full suspension, hydraulic brakes, and a removable battery under the seat.
Until you twist the throttle.
Tasaca claims 5500W peak power, 276 Nm of torque, a 52 mph top speed, and a large 52V 30Ah battery. The test bike backed up the most important number by reaching 52 mph on GPS. That is faster than several competing 60V bikes I’ve tested, despite the Tasaca using a 52V system. Tasaca currently lists the bike at $1,399, $1199 with our discount code “AMPED”.
This bike is a lot more than it’s spec sheet. Let’s dive in!

Performance: Motor and Speed
The T500-V58 uses a flat-wire mid-drive motor rated at 5500W peak power, with a claimed 276 Nm of torque. Tasaca also lists the motor at 5000 RPM and claims a climbing ability of up to 45 degrees.
The acceleration feels surprising in the best way. This thing wants to wheelie almost every time the throttle gets opened in the highest power mode. Tasaca uses a large 62-tooth rear sprocket, which gives the bike a huge amount of low-end pull.
That sprocket makes launches exciting, but it also means throttle control matters. A careless wrist movement can bring the front wheel up immediately. Thankfully, the throttle is smooth and easy to modulate, so the power never feels impossible to control.
The real surprise was the top speed.
Tasaca claims 52 mph, and the bike reached 52mph on GPS. The onboard display was wildly optimistic and showed more than 60 mph during the run, but the verified GPS result still matched the company’s claim almost perfectly.
That is seriously impressive. Several competing mini e-motos with 60V batteries struggle to pass 45 mph in stock form. The T500-V58 managed a legitimate 52 mph using a 52V battery.
The five power modes also make the bike more approachable:
- Mode 0: Throttle disabled
- Mode 1: Soft, beginner-friendly power
- Mode 2: Slightly stronger but still manageable
- Mode 3: Useful street and trail cruising power
- Modes 4–5: Full performance and easy wheelies
The lower modes appear to reduce both output and speed, rather than only limiting top speed. That makes them genuinely useful for learning the bike instead of simply giving full torque with a lower speed cap.

Battery: Specs and Range
The T500-V58 uses a 52V 30Ah battery, giving it a total capacity of 1560Wh. Tasaca claims up to 55 miles of maximum range, with a listed charging time of approximately 6–8 hours.
The battery sits securely underneath the seat. It can be removed by opening the seat and unbolting the pack, but it is not designed as a quick slide-out battery.
After approximately 10 miles of fairly aggressive riding, the bike had only dropped one battery bar. That included high-speed runs, hill climbs, off-road riding, and plenty of full-throttle acceleration.
A realistic range estimate should look something like this:
- 20–30 miles with aggressive high-speed riding
- 30–40 miles with mixed trail and road riding
- More range possible in lower power modes at moderate speeds
The official 55-mile claim will likely require lighter riding and ideal conditions, but 30Ah is still a substantial battery for a mini electric dirt bike. The bike should offer enough capacity for longer riding sessions without needing to return to the charger constantly.

Comfort and Build Quality
The T500-V58 feels better built than many electric pit bikes in this price range.
The suspension is one of its strongest features. Tasaca lists hydraulic front and rear suspension, and the setup felt excellent over grass, bumps, puddles, and uneven terrain.
The bike feels floaty without feeling uncontrolled. The suspension absorbs rough terrain well enough that my voice was not bouncing all over the place while riding off-road.
The compact size also helps. The 14-inch front and 12-inch rear wheels keep the bike low, nimble, and easy to move around. Tasaca lists a 28.4-inch seat height, a 41.73-inch wheelbase, and a recommended rider height of approximately 4’2″ to 6’2″. The bike weighs about 129.6 pounds and supports up to 331 pounds.
At 5’9″, the bike was completely rideable, but I would still prefer a 17/14 version for more room. The 14/12 setup is especially well suited to younger riders, shorter adults, and anyone wanting a small, manageable electric pit bike.
The seat is another pleasant surprise. Many budget mini e-motos have seats that become painful after 20 minutes. The Tasaca’s seat is soft, cushioned, and covered with ribbed grip material that helps keep the rider from sliding backward.
The rear portion gets a little firmer, but after 10 miles, comfort was still much better than expected.

Other Unique Features
The Tasaca T500-V58 includes several features that help it feel more complete than a bare-bones electric pit bike.
Large 62-tooth rear sprocket
The oversized rear sprocket gives the bike massive low-end pull. It is one of the reasons the T500-V58 wheelies so easily and feels so strong on steep hills.
A smaller sprocket could potentially increase top speed, although doing so would trade away some of the bike’s low-end torque.
DOT hydraulic brakes
The hydraulic brakes feel strong and properly matched to a bike capable of 50+ mph. Tasaca lists dual hydraulic brakes, and the test bike stopped confidently from around 30 mph without feeling overwhelmed.
The brake layout is also set up like a typical e-moto, with the left lever controlling the rear brake. That makes it easier to manage wheelies and low-speed balance.
Bright headlight
The built-in headlight is bright and useful. It gives the bike more practicality for evening riding, although the test unit arrived with a damaged headlight switch. Tasaca quickly sent a replacement, which was good to see.
Five power modes
The lower settings actually soften the bike, making it easier to hand over to a less experienced rider or use when full power is unnecessary.
Distinctive styling
The yellow-and-black colorway gives the T500-V58 a bumblebee look that stands out from the endless orange and black mini dirt bikes already on the market.
Tasaca currently offers yellow, black, and yellow-black configurations.
Negatives
The biggest problem is the turning radius.
The handlebars barely turn compared with most other mini e-motos. Tight U-turns often require leaving the path, putting a foot down, or making a multi-point turn. This is manageable at speed, but annoying in garages, narrow trails, and tight spaces.
The bike also lacks a tail light and turn signals. That is disappointing because several competitors now include both. Tasaca officially markets the T500-V58 as an off-road-only vehicle that is not permitted on public roads, so street equipment may not have been a priority. The company also states that riders should be at least 14 years old.
The display is another weak point. It looks fine and is readable, but the speed reading is extremely inaccurate. During a 52 mph GPS run, the display showed more than 60 mph.
The test unit also arrived with a damaged headlight switch. Tasaca sent a replacement quickly, but shipping damage is still inconvenient.
Finally, the 14/12 wheel setup may feel cramped for taller adults. The compact dimensions are great for smaller riders, but a larger 17/14 version would broaden the bike’s appeal.

Final Thoughts
The Tasaca T500-V58 might be one of the best budget pit bikes I’ve tested.
I expected another decent 45 mph electric pit bike. Instead, the T500-V58 delivered a verified 52 mph top speed, excellent suspension, strong brakes, a comfortable seat, real hill-climbing power, and a large battery.
The voltage number does not tell the full story. This is technically a 52V bike, but it performs better than several 60V competitors. The motor, controller, battery, and gearing clearly work well together, and the 62-tooth sprocket gives it a huge amount of low-end torque.
It still has flaws. The turning radius is ridiculous, the display is inaccurate, and the lack of a tail light feels outdated. But none of those problems erase how impressive the core bike is.
For smaller riders or anyone wanting a compact electric dirt bike that is fast straight out of the box, the T500-V58 is one of the strongest options around $1,400.
This was not supposed to become one of my favorite mini pit bikes. After riding it, that is exactly what happened.
